Credit information law is a relatively new addition to the areas of practice in the region. Despite its recent introduction to the region, we were able to build our capacity and provide our support to a leading credit information provider in this field. Our services in this area included legal and regulatory consultation, drafting appropriate (yet sophisticated and custom made) contracts, policies and authorisations, advising on the appropriate business models that ensure smooth and legal flow of credit data from sources and users to the service providers, and addressing the legal and regulatory day-to-day issues that are facing the setting-up and the operation.
